From rrobson at eduworks.com Thu Feb 2 11:34:13 2006 From: rrobson at eduworks.com (Robby Robson) Date: Thu Feb 2 11:34:39 2006 Subject: [Technology-members] Technology Committee Update - (Next call, February 15) Message-ID: At the annual meeting we had several actions that were supposed to move forward in January, including assisting with API definition for the NSDL infrastructure, revising the NSDL Technology Web site to include a services and tools exchange, and improving documentation. On the Policy Committee call last week it was reported that infrastructure development is nearing the point where help with API definition makes sense. Community pages are being revised globally, and the CI is considering our request for a "top level" URL (e.g. tech.nsdl.org). It seems best to talk about all of these issues as a committee during our scheduled time slot on February 15, at 16:00 Eastern. (The number should remain 1-800-516-9896 with Participant code 305400.) By then we hope to have more information on all the above topics. At that time, we will also discuss requirements for documentation and the Technology Committee site. Meanwhile, if anyone has any specific links to documentation they would like to see included on nsdl.org, please forward them to this list. Susan and Dean will also welcome specific suggestions concerning the Web site. Finally, we will be forming a small working group to review and provide technical input into NSDL API's. My guess is that it will meet once per week via teleconference and engage in email exchanges for a period of something like three months, although that remains to be seen. If anyone wishes to pre-volunteer, please let Dean, Ed and me know. Thanks. ------------------------------------------- Robby Robson, Eduworks Corporation rrobson@eduworks.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
